Daily structure and themes
At Kidzz we offer a fixed daily structure with a perfect balance between free play and structured group activities.
We start every day with a circle time (click here to take a look at our circle time) in which we greet all children and teachers, but we also discuss who may not be there. We cover the days of the week and the weather through songs and dances. We then do an activity that fits our theme at that moment.
At Kidzz we make sure that every day is varied and fun, so that your child always discovers and experiences something new!

Our
Activities

Playing outside
Every day after eating fruit, we take the children outside because we believe that playing outside is essential for their motor development. During outdoor play, the children can move freely, jump, run, and climb, which improves their coordination and balance. Additionally, sufficient fresh air contributes to better sleep patterns and improved memory. With our two Winther Turtle Kiddy buses, we visit one of the many parks in the area daily, allowing the children to discover new environments each time.

Swimming lessons Penguins barcelona
An activity that we have been particularly proud of for 8 years is the weekly, optional swimming lesson at the Penguins Barcelona swimming pool, Bonanova location. These swimming lessons are accessible to children from 16 months old. The children are safely transported by a private bus from our square to the swimming pool and back to Kidzz. The swimming lessons start in October and continue until the last week of the school year. Each trimester, we organize an open lesson together with Penguins, where parents are allowed to come and watch.

Library visits
At Kidzz, we have a love for reading. We take the children on a journey through the wonderful world of books every day. Whether during free play or in group settings, books are always present and play an important role in the lives of our children at Kidzz.
When we read aloud, the children discover how a language is structured. They learn how sentences are formed, what rules exist, and how they can use them to express themselves. Listening to stories opens the door to another world full of fantasy and adventure. Reading not only enriches a child’s language but is also essential for their social development.
Every month, we look forward with great enthusiasm to our visit to the Jaume Fuster Library on Plaza Lesseps.

Allotment garden Jardí del Silenci
Once a month, we visit the magically hidden allotment garden Jardí del Silenci in Gràcia. Here, the children discover the importance of flowers, plants, and trees for our health. They help with the care of the garden and, in a playful way, learn about the craft of gardening. These activities not only nurture their love for nature but also teach them the importance of environmental care and sustainability.

After school English classes
We offer weekly after-school English classes from October through the end of June every Tuesday from 5:15 to 6:15 pm. These classes are structured to expand English vocabulary through play. We use language games and interactive group activities that not only improve language skills, but also contribute to the children’s social development.
Each trimester consists of 12 lessons. In addition, our Easter and summer camp, provides an excellent opportunity to intensively apply the knowledge gained. For children who have previously participated in Kidzz daycare, this is an ideal way to maintain their English language skills. The playful approach makes it easy for new children to integrate and enjoy participating.

Parks
There are 10 parks within walking distance from Kidzz. From swings to slides, our little adventurers get plenty of outdoor fun and fresh air. Safety first: Our children always wear our Kidzz orange bib. There’s always a teacher nearby when the children climb, so they can enjoy and explore with confidence.

Plaza de Lesseps – 10 minutes walk
Lesseps is a large park that offers activities for both the youngest and oldest children. It features swings, climbing frames with slides and wobbly bridges, a climbing wall and a sandpit. The park also provides plenty of shade during the warmer months, making it a comfortable place to play year-round.
Jardines del Maestro Balcells – 10 minutes walk
We call it Sunny Park because it is filled with space and light. Despite its name, the park offers plenty of shade during the warmer months, making it a pleasant place to play throughout the year. It has swings suitable for both the youngest and oldest children, a slide, and a sandpit. Nestled within a larger park, it feels quiet and atmospheric, perfect for our children to enjoy.
Plaza del Norte – 5 minutes walk
This playground is always shaded, making it a cool and comfortable spot for play. Even when it’s drizzling, the trees provide enough shelter for children to continue having fun. Located on a quiet square, it feels safe and peaceful. It’s particularly well-suited for younger children. The play area includes a slide, swings and a seesaw.
Plaza Manuels Torrente – 5 minutes walk
We call it Dog’s Park because dogs often play nearby and the children love watching them. Dogs, however, are not allowed inside the playground itself. The area is shady during the warmer months and offers a variety of play equipment, making it suitable for both younger and older children. As part of a large park, it also provides plenty of open space for playing football or drawing with chalk on the pavement.
Jardín del Silencio – 15 minutes walk
We visit this allotment garden every first Tuesday of the month. It is a hidden piece of nature and tranquillity right in the middle of the city, offering a peaceful space that we have all to ourselves. The garden is shady and provides wonderful opportunities for children to connect with flowers and plants.
Plaza Joanic – 20 minutes walk
This park is ideal for a picnic, with the added bonus of a fun follow-up activity in the square. It is particularly suitable for our older children, offering plenty of space to run and play in the light-filled area. The park also features unique play equipment that makes it a special place to explore.
Plaza de la Revolución – 10 minutes walk
This playground features challenging play equipment, making it mainly suitable for our older children. It is ideal for autumn, winter, spring and works well on cloudy or rainy days since there is no sandpit.
Plaza del Sol – 10 minutes walk
This playground features a challenging climbing frame, perfect for our older children. It offers plenty of space and light, making it an ideal spot for picnics and additional activities in the square.
Paseo de San Juan – 20 minutes walk
This park offers a variety of play equipment, such as a slide, trampoline, chalk wall and play wall. It is mainly suited for our older children.
Plaza de les Dones del 36 – our own square
This is a peaceful square in front of Kidzz, popular with families. It features a children’s play area and benches, making it a convenient and relaxing place to play or rest in the heart of Gràcia.
